So, I may be really late to this particular party, but breaded halloumi?! Halloumi plus bread crumbs?! Blew. My. Mind.
Spent the day with the lovely Jennifer this week, and she casually mentioned we were having breaded halloumi as part of our dinner. Hold the phone, why hadn’t I thought of that before?? Col and I lurve lurve lurve halloumi, and now I see we have been missing out big time (on all the extra calories!!) Continue reading
We’re all about quick and easy pinterest food here this week! I saw this pin a long time ago and logged it away in the “Um, yes please” brain file but thinking I’d never make them – bake at home croissants aren’t exactly a common sight on our economy shopping list. But last week they were half price and I couldn’t resist (all in the name of the blog of course!) So here’s the pin- how easy right?!
Need I say more?!
Ruth and I thought we’d try these pinterest-found puppies out the other week. As you can see – it’s a choc chip cookie, with an oreo inside….doesn’t get much better than that!
Here’s the recipe we followed, although I suspect any cookie recipe will work, if it goes well with the oreo flava…you just make up the dough, whack some on top of the oreo, some on the bottom, and then mold it around the edges to join up the dough. Continue reading
While doing some birthday cake research for Florence I can across this intriguing pin which promised lovely flat cakes:
You know when you’re baking a cake and it gets that annoying mound in the middle? Unless you’re decorating it to look like a ladybird, this is not normally a helpful shape for a cake to be.
Cake idea for next year Florrie?!
Happy Valentine’s day lovely people!

Does anyone not like a nice pain au chocolat?? Buttery chocolatey goodness! These are super simple to make, and were the perfect treat to take along to a girls’ night last Friday (although everyone thought they were sausage rolls at first!) Continue reading
This weekend is spoiling me foodwise so far…
After another stop on the London Cuisine World Tour last night, I was treated to a Pinterest recipe-inspired breakfast with the lovely Clare this morn!
Clare came across this recipe, via Pinterest, from Minimalist Baker – here’s the original pin:
As previously mentioned, we love Preztels.
These reindeer cupcakes have been all over pinterest:
So cute and easy, be rude not to give them a go really! Here is my version: Continue reading
So you may have picked up that Holly and I both have moderate to severe peanut butter addictions. After a week off the blog there’s nothing better than a pb fuelled post to get back into it.
I love seeing all the cute cakes in a jar on pinterest: Continue reading
Who doesn’t like s’mores?! Our dad traveled to America quite often when we were kids and would bring us back graham crackers and Hersheys chocolate – exotic food to us growing up in little old New Zealand!
I wanted to make something s’mores inspired for a fireworks party this weekend, and of course pinterest came up trumps with s’moreish ideas:
